In a recent announcement, the Board of Directors of Diamond Trust Bank Uganda Limited has revealed the appointment of Mr. Godfrey Sebaana as the new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, effective April 2, 2024.
Bringing over two decades of extensive experience in the banking sector, Mr. Sebaana is hailed as a seasoned banker. His most recent role was serving as the Executive Director and Head of Corporate, Commercial, and Institutional Banking at Standard Chartered Bank Uganda.
Throughout his career, Mr. Sebaana has garnered expertise in a wide array of banking facets including mergers, acquisitions, corporate advisory, and financial institutions management. His proficiency extends across diverse industry segments encompassing global and local corporates, SMEs, and retail sectors.
Notably, Mr. Sebaana is a qualified accountant and holds the prestigious title of Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK. Additionally, he boasts a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh Business School.
